Why Marc Coppens started EverBlue?

Marc founded the Belgian branch of the popular accounting platform Yuki. After selling Yuki to Norwegian software group Visma, he was looking for a appropriate formula to invest his savings. ‘Investing on the stock market is too passive and volatile for me. Private equity funds (PE, investments outside the stock market) usually offer better returns, but you have to put in at least €1m to €3m for the long term,’ says Coppens.

The solution is EverBlue, a fund that invests in a range of private equity funds with a focus on B2B software. It is a private privak and open to co-investors. In this way, Coppens also solves another problem: “When I invested in Yuki, I was regularly asked by friends and family if they couldn’t co-invest, but I thought that was too risky. Through EverBlue, they can get in for a relatively small amount, with sufficient risk diversification.’
